With the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity underway, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make Rode to Reno a huge success! It was a great first futurity for many three-year-olds, and the level of athleticism that they displayed was outstanding. We have no doubt that the trainers, owners, horses, and non-pros will do an excellent job representing SRCHA in Reno.
We would like to give our members and sponsors some statistics that show a few of the benefits of sponsoring an event with SRCHA. We had 20 sponsors this year: Santa Cruz Animal Health, Dawson Performance Horses & Travelin Jonez, Dry Creek Ranch, Serna Boots, Iconoclast Support Boots, Western Bloodstock, Oklahoma Equine Hospital & Dr. Joe Carter, Hat 6 Ranch, Kay Rankin Williams, Danny Poole (October Futurity Sponsor), The Ranch Equine, Oswood Stallion Station, Ron Ralls Performance Horses, Aaron Ranch, Lifeline, Clinton Anderson, Equine Salt Therapy, CB Trucking, CR Ranch Wear, and Bloomer Trailers. Sponsors had an average of 5 posts before and during Rode to Reno, with an average post reach of 1,296. That comes to an estimated 6,480 people reached per sponsor! Additionally, we sent out 7 eblasts to an average of 2,600 people. Each eblast was sent to email recipients and social media. We expect these numbers to drastically increase in the coming years, as the Snaffle Bit Futurity comes to Fort Worth, Texas.
We would also like to thank our youth sponsors- Shawn & Tammy Hays and Jay & Wendy McLaughlin. With their help we were able to provide free entry fees to all youth cowhorse classes. The future of SRCHA depends on our youth, and entries doubled with this effort to make it financially easier to enter Rode to Reno. We give a big thank you to Trey and Sandra Neal as well for graciously donating scholarships to our youth participants.
